The Jerusalem Sober House is hiring! Dorm Counselor/Madrich position

Excellent opportunity for a male student seeking a paid internship and/or someone seeking employment  in the human services field. This is a paid position and  includes meals, room, and board.  

Duties

• Rotating 5pm – 9am overnight shifts including alternating Shabbats
• Attend all designated staff meetings
• Responsible for overseeing and monitoring residents
• Point of contact for JSH communication throughout shift
• Serve prepared evening meals and adhere to  kashrut at house
• Ensuring curfews
• Assist residents with daily goal planning
• Responsible for dispensing medications
• Update residents files and/or notes accordingly

Requirements

• English mother tongue
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to multitask, manage, and lead groups
• Effectively work within a multi-disclipinary team
• Preferred bachelor's degree in a human services field or in pursuance
• Must have some experience in  substance abuse and addiction
