The Equivalency Track

The equivalency track is designed for social workers who have completed a second-degree program with distinction in a non-thesis track, have experience in research and/or academic writing, and are interested in pursuing PhD studies.

Within this track, students will write a thesis-equivalent dissertation. Every student must choose one of the school’s supervisors who will guide and support them throughout the research project.

Upon completion of the research, the student submits the work and undergoes examination before a committee. Students whose work is approved will receive confirmation of writing a thesis-equivalent dissertation. This track does not provide students with a MA certificate upon completion.
